When I open device manager, renesas usb 3.0 usb is updated to renesas USB 3.0 xHCI Compliant Host Controller -0096(Microsoft). I am not able to remove or change this driver. When I try to install usb 3.0 driver that I downloaded from the site or the original driver I got in dell drivers cd, my laptop automatically shut downs with a blue scree. The USB driver is a control driver for use in USB interface and consists of USB basic firmware and USB device class firmware. With this driver, you don't need the USB protocol layer control and USB communication with connected device is easily. Renesas provides this driver as your system development.

I'm trying to fix a Vaio laptop (from Sony) that has a Renesas USB controller built-in. After upgrading to Windows 10, the drivers no longer work. They aren't signed. Sony doesn't support that model for Windows 10 and only offers Windows 7 compatible drivers. Renesas only offers sample drivers for developers. Is there someplace I can find signed working drivers for the Renesas USB 3.0 controller? Just in case, there are two versions of it, a 2 port and 4 port versions.
The computer is a Sony Vaio, model VPCF136FM. The link to the driver on the Sony support site says it has a RenesasĀ® Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller.
